Orange County Choppers are back in news by making complete electric Choppers in America

Those who have at least a small love for bikes will have heard of Orange county choppers. Those who do not know, please know; Orange county choppers (O.C.C) are world famous chopper bike manufacturing workshop having its headquarters in New York . Choppers are bikes which are being manufactured for customers according to their choice & can bear a distinct appearance or look. In between famous car manufacturers developing & presenting electric cars, Orange county choppers have built a complete electric bike and are back in news.

Orange county choppers was started in 1999 by Paul Dutel Sr. & Paul Dutel Jr. When discovery channel started airing the reality show ‘American chopper’ in 2002 , the company’s popularity increased. Also the sales of their choppers too. In 2007 D.L.C channel also aired ‘American chopper’ reality show.

Orange county choppers & its rough & strong company head Paul Teutul is a known figure to bike lovers all over world . Choppers & its company head became known to the common man through a reality show ‘American chopper’ conducted by discovery channel. Even though rough looking , bike lovers came to know through the reality show that Paul Teutul is a very loving & humorous person.

O.C.C is introducing electric choppers by combining with Siemens , a company which experiments in discovering traditional energy sources . Together both the companies have presented world’s first complete electric custom chopper. O.C.C made it clear that electric choppers are being manufactured to provide customers with bikes which are fuel efficient & environment friendly.


Fuel efficient modern bikes are not being manufactured by Orange county choppers for the first time. O.C.C has bought out choppers which run on natural gas & flex fuel . Teutul has informed that electric choppers will be available to the customers within 1 month .Electric choppers are being built out of completely recyclable materials.

• ‘Siemens smart chopper’ will use D.C motor which can generate 27 H.P strength.
  
• Maximum speed of the electric choppers will be 160 km/hr.
  
• If we charge the battery once, bike can be used to run 100 kms distance.
  
• Electric choppers use L.E.D lights which re developed by Siemens.

Orange county choppers is building a chopper made out of completely recyclable materials for the first time. Dutel claims that he & his team mates enjoyed the production of the new bike a lot. Siemens plans to exhibit the first ever smart choppers in different occasions. In 2010 smart chopper will be auctioned & sold. The amount received from this is planned to be used for charitable activities.
