Why it is good for you to Volunteer?

Volunteering is intended for those individuals who would like to serve others and would wish to bring a difference in others life as well as ones own life. Volunteering is both rewarding and a challenging task. It is good for those whom you assist and good for you too.

If you are only satisfied with directly providing your service, you should reconsider several factors. Your unawareness of the situation and about the complexities of the scenario may double the problems instead of reducing them. Think about whether you are having any specific skills that may be useful for rendering your service, whether you are physically prepared for coping up with scarcity of resources, equipped with resources for preventing the chances of getting any disease, mentally prepared for dealing with the emotional stress of the people along with their physical ones, ready with the papers required and permissions needed to go to the disaster area etc.
